Privacy Policy

Effective July 2, 2026

Threshold (“we”, “us”) provides personalized endurance training plans for ultra and alpine runners at threshold.run. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We handle fitness, health, and location data, so we treat it with care.

Information we collect

  • Account information — the email address and profile details you provide (goal race, training availability, physical metrics you choose to share).
  • Training and health data — activities you upload (.fit/.gpx files) or that we retrieve from a connected service, including GPS location, heart rate, power, cadence, pace, elevation, and timestamps.
  • Usage data — basic technical logs (e.g. device type, access times) needed to operate and secure the service.

Connected services (Garmin and others)

With your explicit authorization, we access your activity and health data from services such as Garmin Connect through their official developer programs. We use this data solely to provide and improve your training plans, and we comply with each provider’s API and data-use terms. When you disconnect a provider or delete your account, we delete the data we obtained from that provider, except where we are required to retain it by law.

How we use your information

We use your data to generate and adapt your personalized training plans, to provide coaching feedback, and to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

AI processing

Coaching guidance is generated by AI models we run on our own infrastructure. Your health and location data is processed within that infrastructure and is not sent to third-party AI providers.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with infrastructure providers (such as hosting and database services) that process it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, and where required to comply with the law or protect our rights.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on managed infrastructure and encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what is needed to operate the service.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time, and we will delete your personal data unless we are required to retain some of it by law.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data by emailing us at privacy@threshold.run. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those rights.

Children

Threshold is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will post the new effective date here and, for material changes, notify you.
